Everyday Programme
Every morning the doors of the Lord's temple are opened by about 7-30 O'clock and Archana (worshipping rituals) are performed by the priests after giving bath to Lord. Devotees start congregating in the Mandir premise by about 8 0'clock. They all stand in queue with Chakis (earthen lamps) and Dhup sticks (smelling sticks) waiting for own turn to enter into Benti Prajalan griha. After offering 'Diya' devotees queue up for darsana of Mahaprabhu Doul-Govinda. After bowing down before Lord and having Darshana of the Lord's serene look and getting blessings as chanted by the priests receiving Nirmali and Pada-Jala, a pilgrim comes out to take his/her seat in rows along with other devotees in the open hall. At noon, the priest offers to Lord, Bhoga (rice boiled in milk with sugar, kismis etc.). A beating daba (a big conical drum)is beaten accompanied with beating of bell and blowing of conch. All the devotees bow their heads to Lord from their seats at the hour of offering Bhoga. During this period of offering bhoga, main door is closed for few minutes. When such rituals are over, volunteers of the temple Management start distributing Prasada followed by Bhoga among the devotees in the open halls, which the devotees take with great reverence to Lord Doul-Govinda. A good number of devotees contribute to the temple Management to offer Bhoga and Sarai on their behalf with or without craving. such devotees get some amount of Bhoga for taking home from the Counter. Even after the devotees having dispersed, the doors of the Mandir remain open till sunset to facilitate the devotees coming from distance to offer their prayers to the Lord. Thereafter the Mandir remains close after sunset.
